The VIAVI TestCenter B3 family provides high-density, multi-rate Ethernet testing for AI data centers, hyperscale cloud networks, network equipment manufacturers, service providers, and semiconductor developers. Available in four-port and eight-port configurations with either QSFP-DD800 or OSFP800 interfaces, the B3 generates up to 6.4 Tbps of test traffic in a compact 2U appliance.
The B3 supports Ethernet test rates from 50G through 800G, including breakout configurations for 2×400G, 4×200G, 8×100G, 2×200G, and 8×50G. This flexibility enables engineers to validate multiple generations of switching, routing, optical, and interconnect technologies using one platform.
For AI infrastructure testing, the B3 emulates realistic GPU and NIC traffic, collective communication patterns, and large-scale RoCEv2 connections. It also supports Ultra Ethernet Transport testing, Link Layer Retry, congestion-control validation, and more than 50 built-in UEC 1.0 conformance test cases.
Comprehensive Layer 1 diagnostics—including pre- and post-FEC statistics, PRBS testing, receive-eye views, transceiver monitoring, and PCS analysis—help engineering teams identify signal-integrity, interoperability, latency, packet-loss, and congestion problems before equipment is deployed.
